Especially when so many areas and roads have multiple restaurants almost next door to each other! So we tried out something different. We lunched down 5 different cafes and restaurants down Jawatta Road.
What I absolutely loved about this place is the inspiration behind starting it. The owner and his colleague who wished to remain behind the scenes shared their story with us. Both of them are marine engineers by profession but their goal is to bring Sri Lanka to its former glory in producing and exporting coffee to the world.
Having been open for just a little over a week, Coffee & Company is a beautiful cafe serving the most delicious and scrumptious goodies in town. Located along a strip on the lobby level of The Kingsbury, with a great view of the ocean, this is the ideal place for grilled food lovers.
A couple of days ago, we went to check out the new Chinese Restaurant located at No 43 Jawatte Road, Colombo. The General Manager/Executive Chef Rohana Perera explained that Fenghuang Lou was different from most Chinese restaurants as they did not use any Ajinomoto or MSG in their preparations. Everything was organic and herbal hence more healthy.
