Instead of allowing boredom to get the better of him or surfing social media, Pasan decided to step up and help his community by baking. Baking over 60 loaves a day of various types of bread, Podi Pasan’s Patisserie has come to being.

On WTF this week I visit Kaffeine BY RE.PUB.LK. The café is new in town. And if you work in the neighbourhood I’m sure you know it’s hard to get a decent cup of coffee. These guys filled that gap with a fabulous range of coffee all locally brewed. I sat down to have a small chat with the founders of this cool place, Rukshan Meegahage and Kumara Chandrasena.

Mizu Japanese Menu at Ramada
Ramada relaunched Mizu recently, and introduced a revamped menu. I’m glad they did, considering that even back then, their sushi was quite delicious and this time around, they’ve certainly upped the ante.
‘Turkish Delight’ at Flow
The Turkish food promotion at FLOW has begun from the 27th of February and will continue till the 7th of March 2020 offering 10 days of delightful Turkish cuisine. The promotion, in collaboration with the Embassy of Turkey and Turkish Airlines Inc., features two guest chefs from Hilton Istanbul Bosphorus to share their home recipes.

Alhambra at Ramada, Colombo is one of the oldest North Indian restaurants in Colombo, which is about 46 years old. It is very well known for its unique Biryani, among the crowd. They specialize in Mughal Cuisine and they recently introduced a new exciting menu which was redone by their very own Rajasthani chef.
Kaffeine BY RE.PUB.LK
Kaffeine is a cozy all-day hangout café located just behind the Dutch Hospital Shopping Complex. Taking over the ground level bar area of Re.pub.lk, the café opened in January 2020 fulfilling a gap for a coffee shop around the area.

The Movenpick Colombo recently hosted a select gathering at a high tea to introduce the dessert lineup available for their Swiss Dessert Promotion which will go on until the 29th of February. The delectably indulgent desserts on offer are certainly worth foregoing any diet for! This saccharine heaven is certainly worth all the hype!

Fresh Forward with Subway
Subway opened its newest outlet at the One Galle Face Mall Colombo, franchised by a co-owner of International Brands Pvt. Ltd., Amith Waduge. This is the newest out of the 7 subways in Sri Lanka and the first to be opened in a large scale shopping mall.
DAVID’S DANGEROUSLY DELICIOUS CHAR SIU
We first dropped by David’s Dangerously Delicious (DDD) Char Siu down Rosmead Place back in June last year. Six months later, DDD has expanded – not just in their menu but also with their location, and we happily returned to see if their Char Siu is still ‘addictive’ as we found it to be.
Flamingo restaurant
Situated inside Ceylon City Hotel, Colombo, Flamingo Restaurant has been around for quite a while now. Taking the requirements of their customer base, they’ve decided to be more inclusive and affordable, making Flamingo more accessible to their local customer base as well. They recently revamped not only their menu, but also their prices, which is most certainly a welcome change.
