Hectic weekdays can be a real mood kill. You literally do not want to do anything let alone sweat over a hot stove for hours. To help you better cope, I have developed a chicken dish inspired by my friend Maneshka.
Most of us have gotten so used to having an entire meal at one restaurant, at most we will go to another place to have dessert. But why must it be that way? Especially when so many areas and roads have multiple restaurants almost next door to each other! So we tried out something different. We lunched down 5 different cafes and restaurants down Jawatta Road.
What I absolutely loved about this place is the inspiration behind starting it. The owner and his colleague who wished to remain behind the scenes shared their story with us. Both of them are marine engineers by profession but their goal is to bring Sri Lanka to its former glory in producing and exporting coffee to the world.
Having been open for just a little over a week, Coffee & Company is a beautiful cafe serving the most delicious and scrumptious goodies in town. With soft music playing in the background alongside the comfy furniture, it is the ideal place to wind down after work or hang out with your friends and have a good time.
Thai cuisine is becoming hugely popular in Sri Lanka. In the long lists of restaurants Rice Box is definitely one of the high contenders. The food is delicious and affordable. They change their menu frequently and add interesting new items. So a few days ago we dropped by to check out what was new and we were not disappointed with the fare.
Sea Food Club is the newly opened seafood restaurant at Grandeeza hotel in Negombo. The restaurant overlooks the lagoon and the hotel’s pool giving it a good view. It’s easy to locate and is one of the few places in Negombo that you can go to enjoy a good meal overlooking the lagoon.
