This week, Centara Ceysands Resort & Spa, Sri Lanka invited WTF to experience the beauty of indulgence, nestled between the Bentota River and the Indian Ocean on Sri Lanka’s Southwestern coast. It's a short drive from Colombo to get to this piece of paradise. Centara was opened by Softlogic Holdings PLC together with Centara Hotels & Resorts of Thailand in May of 2014 and marks Softlogic’s first foray into the hotel industry. And lately won the "Best New Hotel of the Year - Luxury/Upper Segment" for 2015, at the HICSA’s 'Hotels of the Year Awards'.
 
 
 
It's not like any other hotel. The resort’s arrival lounge is situated at Aluthgama, on the inland side of the river, and you get to “Getaway Mood” immediately with guests making a quick but unforgettable journey across the water by barge. Our cameras switched on from here so we can bring our unforgettable experience to you. From the cozy iced tea as a welcome drink to every single part of our stay was remarkable and memorable. We start off with the very popular international breakfast where you are guranteed to not go short of options and it's my favourite meal of the day, therefore I had to spend a lot of time there. Breakfast was followed by a mega lunch, which had something for everyone.  
 
 
Speaking to WTF, Avantha Wadugodapitiya, Director of Sales says “We have professional supervisors at the Kids’ Club and provide babysitting service so there’s plenty of time to relax on your own," which I thought is an amazing idea. 
 
 
Before I got ready for another feast, I got myself to the SPA, another place you must not miss out if you visit them this weekend. It's a spa experience that can recharge and restore with authentic Ayurvedic  treatments at the Oceanfront SPA Cenvaree which offers a luxurious choice of blissful spa treatments using indigenous products and a lavish range of signature Thai therapies and massages. And let's say you are not like me, who likes to NOT lose too much energy, then you can try a dip in the swimming pool facing the ocean, or at the water sports center. 
 
 
The hotel team is so friendly and a big thank you to the GM Mr. Sisira Senaratne, who made sure we had the best of everything. Dinnertime was a special treat, at 360 Seafood which serves the best locally sourced seafood. Our Main dish was accommodated by a Tom Yum soup followed by a mega seafood platter. I promise you, don’t be ambitious – I don’t think you can handle one by yourself. Chef Indika Ekanayake cooked up a storm, and the plate was accompanied by some well seasoned rice and a lobster which was the star of the dish. And to finish off the meal, we were served well prepared crème brûlée.
