Calling all superheroes, wizards, Jedi, anime lovers, gamers, and comic book fanatics… Come be yourself! Lanka Comic Con is back, and it’s bigger, bolder, and geekier than ever! Turning 10 this year, Lanka Comic Con lands on August 30th and 31st at Kolamba Kamatha at BMICH, a perfect combo of indoor and outdoor spaces perfect for cosplay struts, artist alleys, and all-out fandom fun. From humble beginnings back in 2015, LCC has grown into the place where Sri Lanka’s geek culture thrives, whether you are an artist, cosplayer, collector, or just wildly passionate about all things nerdy.

This time, expect over 50 vendors, 40 emerging artists, and a jam-packed line up of workshops, panels, and performances across two full days. 

What makes LCC truly special?

It's not just the merch or the cosplay (though that is awesome), it's the community. Over the years, LCC has helped small businesses bloom, championed inclusive spaces, and been powered by volunteers who keep the magic going. 

Set to be one of the largest editions to date, Lanka Comic Con 2025 welcomes everyone regardless of your age (whether you are Gen Z, Gen Alpha, millennial or even a Gen X), you can go and pay tribute to your favourite characters! 

What to expect at LCC 2025?

Lanka Comic Con isn’t just an event but a full-on experience. Whether you’re an OG fan or a curious first-timer, there is something for everyone. Here’s a sneak peek at the exciting event highlights lined up for this year’s epic two-day celebration.

• Cosplay Showcases: Live runaway-style displays, casual cosplay zones, and contests celebrating both craft and character.
• Tabletop Games: Open sessions, demos, and player meetups ranging from D&D to card-based strategy games.
• Workshops: Storytelling, design, and more.
• Performances: Stage acts, fan performances, and thematic showcases will be featured throughout the event.
• Major Zones & Attractions: “Little Tokyo”: an anime experience with an interactive open-air arena with activations, competitions, and cosplay shows in an auditorium with original short films and panels. 
• Other Geek Activities: Trivia contests, fandom meetups, gaming demos, and niche fandom experiences.
• Artist Support: Artist’s Alley returns as a space for independent creators to display and sell their work directly to fans.
• Vendors: A mix of established businesses and new sellers offering collectibles, books, merch, crafts, and fandom gear. 
• Food Zones: Outdoor food courts featuring a mix of food trucks and test-market food stalls for new culinary ideas.
