Fitness Profile, a new segment starting this week, is going to bring to you the training routines and diet details of people who follow healthy lifestyles - exercising and eating right. 
	 
	This week's fitness profile is none other than Miss Universe Sri Lanka 2010 Ishanka Madurasinghe.

	· How and when did you adopt training and a healthy lifestyle? 
	I started exercising first when I was 16, because I did athletics in school. I continue to this day, but I take breaks when University and exams take up all my time.
	 
	· How do you stay motivated?
	I’m a model and when I look in the mirror I need to know I deserve to be one. If I have to stay for long in this industry, I’ve got to keep in shape.
	 
	· What types of cardio have worked best for you?
	Mostly I exercise in the gym. Then I like to swim for about an hour, but due to time constraints this happens like only twice a month!
	 
	· Are you on any kind of a diet programme?
	Not really. I just limit the portions that I take when I eat.
	 
	· How do you deal with cravings for junk food, sweet and salty foods?
	I rarely crave that way. But when I do, yes I do go ahead and indulge, provided that I do a workout afterwards and burn the calories.
	 
	· Favourite exercise/s?
	My favourite one will have to be cardio on a treadmill.
	 
	· What is your training routine like?
	I exercise once a week for an hour.
	 
	· Do you have a particular goal when it comes to fitness?
	That will have to be remaining 55 kilograms. The moment I exceed that, I somehow bring it back to 55 kg and try to keep it at that.
	 
	· Who are your favourite fitness models/athletes? 
	There’s no such person in particular, but there’s a new model called Amanda who has a great body.
	 
	· What are you favourite healthy foods?
	Fruits.
