Who doesn’t love Chocolate Biscuit Pudding (CBP)? That rich, silky smooth texture, a creamy chocolate glaze topped off with bite-sized chocolate chips, makes me salivate even think about it! Well, that’s exactly what you get when you visit the latest dessert destination in town, Flayvors!
At the very outset, I have to mention that Flayvors isn’t really “new” as a business. Its pioneer Vivek Sadananthan started operations in 2020 and it has been running as a home business for well over 2 years. Having done quite a successful job at being a home baker Vivek decided to take things to the next level by opening up a physical outlet in Kotte.
Flayvors has built quite a reputation for itself over the past two years as a place to get good quality homemade biscuit pudding. Furthermore, Vivek’s attention to the flavour of each of his products ensures that whoever buys gets the best experience possible. They have quite a unique variety of CBPs available including Chocolate, Dark Chocolate, Mint Chocolate, White Chocolate, Chocolate and Whipped Cream as well as the first-ever Peanut Butter Biscuit Pudding. I was fascinated by the Peanut Butter flavour, which was a flavour I had never tried before on a biscuit pudding and was super excited to find out what it tastes like. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t meant to be. I got to try out everything except the Peanut Butter and Mint Chocolate. The puddings come in two different types of packaging. The smaller jar which is meant for a single person is priced between Rs. 400 to Rs. 500 depending on the flavour. The much larger box is priced between Rs. 1000 and Rs. 1100 can easily satisfy 3 - 4 sweet-craving adults!
My favourite and top recommendation would easily be “Dark Chocolate”. The pudding was so rich and creamy that I had inhaled almost half the tub before I put it down and decided to try out the others. Now I know that all the milk chocolate lovers out there might have their doubts saying that they don’t like the flavour of dark chocolate. But you can believe me when I tell you, you will NOT go wrong with this velvety chocolate delight! Now that doesn’t mean the others aren’t good, it just means this one’s better.
My second pick would be the Whipped Cream Chocolate Biscuit Pudding. A first in the industry, this was whipped cream being used at its best. The thin layers of cream in the almost 6-layer thick pudding made the flavour have a distinct difference from the classic CBP. The Classic Chocolate was really good as well. Maintaining that same creamy texture and topped off with milk chocolate chips this dish encompasses everything that’s great about Chocolates, Biscuits and Puddings! I’m not a huge fan of White Chocolate but after eating the CBP from Flayvors I was a convert. Would I choose it over regular or even dark chocolate? Probably not. But I did end up eating almost a quarter of the massive box, which I would never do with anything containing white chocolate, so safe to say in terms of flavour, it hits the spot.
All in all, these are some of the best, if not THE best Biscuit puddings that you can buy for this price range so make sure to grab yours today! They will also be launching a new range of scrumptious desserts as well so make sure not to miss out on that!
