ISAC 2016 organised by Lyceum International School Nugegoda was held on the 4th, 5th and 6th of March at the Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium in Diyagama. 

 

 

 

The much-looked forward event with a total of 1800 athletes from 24 international schools competed saw some excellent performances with athletes establishing 17 new meet records during the three-day competition. 

 

Once again proving their dominance over the International schools’ athletic arena, Lyceum International School Wattala, affiliated to the Lyceum Group of Schools, walked away with the Championship trophy at the International Schools Athletic Championship (ISAC ) 2016, for the eighth consecutive year. 

Gateway International School, Colombo won the runner-up position, scoring 979 points. Lyceum International School Panadura , received the third place, with a score of 504 points while Lyceum international School, Nugegoda won the fourth place. 

The Chief Guest at the event was Hon. Minister of Port and Shipping  Arjuna Ranathunga. The other VIPs and special guests at ISAC 2016 were, Founder of Lyceum Group of School, the Hon. Minister of Higher Education- Mohan Lal Grero, the Chairperson of ISAC 2016- Mrs. Kumari Grero, Principal of Lyceum International School - Ms.Wenuri Hettiarachchi, Director - Mr. Nikitha Grero, the Director-General of ISAC 2016 - Mr.Palitha Jayathillaka, the principals of the competing international schools and representatives from TIISL.
