Have you ever wondered what Belle would look like as a girl next door? How Ariel would look with braces on? What Pocahontas would look like as a… rock? Okay, not the last one, we’re guessing, but surely the others? The thought may have fleetingly crossed your mind. With many thanks to Photoshoppers and artists, you have to wonder no longer. Here are some of the good and the downright bizarre re-imaginings of Disney Princesses you never knew you needed. 

THE GOOD 

1. Mashups
Artist dada16808 posts uber cool pictures of Disney mashups on her Instagram page. What's even cooler is that the pictures are all hand drawn by the artists herself, and the art breathtakingly beautiful.

2. As Their Voice Actors 

Crystal Ro Photoshopped Disney voice actors as their characters - and what's interesting about it is how some voice actors seem nothing like what we imagined them to look like, proving that you can't envision how someone looks by just their voice (despite what some movies lead us to believe). 

3. Using Makeup And Hijab To Transform Into Princesses 

Malaysian makeup artist Saraswati transforms herself into Disney princesses and villains using only makeup, with her hijab fashioned to look like hair. The transformations are so spot on you’ll forget the hair is literally a piece of cloth!

4. As X-Men 

Designer Diego Gomez transformed the princesses into badass superheroes, a far cry from the damsel-in-distress aspect we have all come to loathe. After all, women deserve to be shown as the powerful, fierce selves they have always been throughout history. 

5. With Braces 

Nothing is more adorable than Disney princesses with braces, it turns out, thanks to these Photoshopped images by Loryn Brantz. Braces make the princesses look like the girl next door and much more relatable. 

THE BIZARRE

6. As Chris Hemsworth 

Why on earth someone would decide to superimpose the image of Chris Hemsworth aka Thor on Disney princesses is beyond us. It's not cute. It's plain weird. Enough said.

7. As Lukewarm Bowls Of Water

First of all, bowls of water? Also, “lukewarm” water specifically????? Why???????

8. As Rocks

Seriously - What. On. Earth. We cannot, for the lives of us, imagine what possessed someone to do this. Really.
