Singer Sri Lanka launched the latest international brand of Android-enabled smart devices on becoming the Exclusive Distributor in Sri Lanka for Huawei’s best-selling range of Smartphones, MediaPads and mobiles. The launch in techy, youthful style took place at the Park Street Mews with the participation of the mobile operators, Singer’s key dealers and the Media.  Coming on board as Brand Ambassador to promote the brand was the new heartthrob of the TV and film screen, Saranga Disasekara.

The global giant in telecom and mobile devices, Huawei, is entering the Sri Lankan market with a range of affordably -priced Smartphones, media pads and mobiles in a bid to appeal to the youth market and drive the trend towards Smartphones. The launch saw the unveiling of seven different devices which  included three Android Gingerbread based Smartphones from Huawei's 'Ascend' series, as well  as Huawei's flagship ‘Honor’ Smartphone and the ‘MediaPad’ both  running on the latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich platform.

 

 

To appeal to the youth market, Singer signed on Saranga Disasekara , the youthful  film and TV star who is not only top rated in the popularity stakes but also a techie to the core, as Brand Ambassador. Saranga was recently awarded as the Most Popular Actor at the Raigam Teleawards, following his win of a similar award last year from Sumathi, and holds a B.Sc. in Applied Computing from the University of Northumbria in th UK.
