The Startup Cook – Cookie Dough Pots 

To know if you are a cookie dough fanatic, ask yourself these two questions. 

1. Do you make cookies just to eat the dough? 

2. Is there a significantly less amount of cookies than what the recipe indicates due to your cookie dough indulgence? 

If the answer is yes to both or at least yes to the second question, then lo and behold without any surprise you are a fanatic. This obviously means I have provided you with the best of desserts for you to almost guiltlessly devour. 

Bestowed by Nigella Lawson from her latest book Simply Nigella, these pots are literally to die for. Slightly crispy on the outside and gooey on the inside, your taste buds could not ask for anything better. You can enjoy it as it is or as a fully fledged dessert with a scoop of ice cream on top. Oh and did I also tell you that you can make this in no time?

Ingredients  

2/3 cup of flour 
¼ cup of chocolate chips
4 tbs of butter
2 tbs of brown sugar
1 (small) egg 
1 tsp of vanilla
¼ tsp of baking powder 

Directions 

Preheat the oven to 180 Celsius. Prepare two ramekins and set it aside. 

Place the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl, whisk together until it becomes light and fluffy. 

In a separate bowl mix together the dry ingredients (flour and baking powder) and set it aside. 

Then add the egg and vanilla to the butter mixture, and whisk until the ingredients are well incorporated. 

Now, whisk in the flour mixture until the dough has formed. 

Fold the chocolate chips in to the dough. 

Scoop out some cookie dough and place it in the ramekin (flatten the cookie dough at the bottom). 

Repeat the same with the other ramekin. 

Bake for 15 - 20 minutes.

I did not experience any disasters for this recipe. 

WHAT IS WITHTHIS WEATHER? I feel like a boiled egg each time I’m on the road. 

For the ultimate dessert serve these pots with a scoop of ice cream or a dollop of cream. #yum
