WCIC to Present the 4th Edition of RampUP 2026 to Empower Women Entrepreneurs and Build Export-Ready Brands

The Women's Chamber of Industry and Commerce (WCIC) is proud to present the fourth edition of its flagship event, RampUP 2026, a unique initiative designed to empower women entrepreneurs by helping them build export-ready brands while showcasing their products on a prestigious platform.

As Sri Lanka's premier chamber dedicated to advancing women in business, WCIC considers it its responsibility to create opportunities that enhance the visibility of women-led micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), both locally and internationally. RampUP has become a signature initiative that combines business development, creativity, and networking to elevate women entrepreneurs and their brands.

RampUP 2026 will be held on Wednesday, 5 August 2026, from 7.00 p.m. onwards at the Oak Room, Cinnamon Grand Colombo.

The primary objective of RampUP is to help women-led and women-owned MSMEs develop strong, export-ready brands. The event offers participants a vibrant platform to showcase their products while gaining valuable exposure to business leaders, industry professionals, potential buyers, and the wider public. Beyond the event itself, WCIC believes in nurturing entrepreneurs through continued guidance, mentorship, and opportunities that help refine and strengthen their businesses.

Funds raised through RampUP will be channelled to the Special Entrepreneur Fund of the WCIC Academy, both of which are dedicated to supporting the growth and development of women entrepreneurs across Sri Lanka.

A key feature of the programme is the expert guidance provided to participating entrepreneurs. Designers and industry specialists work closely with women entrepreneurs to enhance colour palettes, product design, quality, presentation, and overall market appeal. These efforts are complemented by the expertise of renowned choreographer Geraldine Bandaranayake, who mentors and guides participants in presenting their products with confidence and professionalism.

One of the most distinctive aspects of RampUP is that the featured products are showcased by some of Sri Lanka's leading women in business. Their participation not only highlights the quality and creativity of the products but also demonstrates their commitment to supporting and uplifting women-owned businesses. This unique concept provides entrepreneurs with valuable exposure and opens doors to greater market opportunities both locally and internationally.

RampUP has become one of the most anticipated events on the WCIC calendar, backed by a dedicated team of Board Members and Chamber members who work tirelessly to ensure every aspect of the event is executed with professionalism and excellence. It has been a roaring success year on year.
RampUP 2026 is co-chaired by Tehani Mathew and Nayana Karunarathna, with choreography by Geraldine Bandaranayake.
