If you believe that your dog has swallowed something that is toxic, your first instinct would be to try and induce vomiting. However before you do so it is vital that you have a bag of whatever your dog has eaten and then call up your veterinary clinic and explain to the vet what your dog has eaten.

it is important that you are calm yet quick when explaining.

Your vet will advise you of the next steps.

If the recommendation is to induce vomiting, you will most likely to be instructed to orally administer a small amount of hydrogen peroxide. It is a good idea to keep a supply of hydrogen peroxide in your home at all times.

You will have to mindful because if your dog has eaten something corrosive inducing vomiting is certainly not the best option because you will end up burning the insides of your dog.

However the best option is to rush your dog to the vet this is bound to avoid severe consequences.
