Hunas Falls by Amaya : A heavenly paradise

The hotel comprise of 28 deluxe rooms, 2 themed suites, 8 signature dining options, on-site golf, spa by the waterfall, 10 hiking and trekking trails and an outdoor swimming pool. Deluxe rooms are equipped with a queen bed and up to 3 or 4 people can be accommodated in them.

The conference hall is another main attraction in the hotel where functions such as weddings, conferences, cocktails and others can be hosted. The seating capacity inside the hall varies with the type of event being held. In the event of a wedding up to 175 people can be accommodated, a cocktail can fit in 100 people and so on. Other facilities include an outdoor swimming pool which can be used by anybody who needs to take a dip anytime during the day. The Spa by the waterfall is another favourite among guests and it is equipped with sauna facilities for guests who would like to experience a soothing massage.

When it comes to dining, as mentioned before, guests are free to choose between many dining options. The Lakeview Restaurant is one of the best restaurants in Kandy which offers delicious breakfasts and main courses with stunning views of the surrounding hills and forest-covered peaks. The Golf Pavilion is the hotel’s private dining venue next to its beautifully maintained golf course. The Miller’s Pub is an intimate lounge with boarded floors and a pool table at its centre. The bar offers a terrace which can accommodate about 25 people and upon request guests can also taste some mouth-watering barbecues. The Miller’s Pub offers beverages, cocktails and wine and it is open everyday from 6am to 11pm. In-room dining offers a fine dining experience within the comforts and convenience of the guest room or suite. An 11-hour room service is available and guests can choose between snacks or a la carte menus.

Making use of its magical settings, Hunas by Amaya also offers ‘destination dining’ options for its guests. These include Hunas Private BBQ, Honeymoon dinner, Kade Breakfast, Picnic breakfast, Picnic lunch and High Tea. For each of these dining options guests can choose between Golf Pavilion, Farmer’s Hut, Boat House, which are ideal for the private BBQ or a Honeymoon dinner. Other venues include Simpson, Shaheen and Spice Trails, Bird Rock, Bird Hiders Breakfast, Golf Rock Garden, On the Bridge or even by the waterfall. 

The Shaheen Peak winds past Hunas Falls and goes along a ridge with gorgeous views of the surrounding tea estates. On the other hand the Simpson trail passes through a rainforest area frequented by monkeys and a variety of birds.
