If I was you I'd wanna be me to, I'd wanna be me too.... hey guess what?!... I've found my own theme song. This little catchy tune should be played as I enter every room, for heaven's sake it's what everyone wants to be right!!?!!!....ME. I mean I really don't want to exaggerate but at almost thirty six months, I make grandmas swoon at the flash of a dimpled cheek. Okay's lets take a look at my mindboggling accomplishments.. is the Queen doing any knighting this year.. I just might just need a few accolades.. why you seem puzzled, for heaven's sake people at a mere thirty six months, I can walk unaided. I literally did the stairs in a jump and gallop, even beat good old Dad, who seemed to be huffing and puffing. That's big, right?

I mean remember the time when never standing up by myself let alone walking in a straight line was achieving the near impossible but now look at me... GENIUS! I can do the stairs, despite Mum looking horrified, in two minutes flat. RIO Olympics here I come. After the walking, my speaking abilities are even better than that Trump fellow. Sorry no secret safe with me dear parents. Grandma needed to know what you did with that tacky, as you called it tablecloth that she gave you Mum...I didn't think she was pleased when I said you lined the doggie's kennels with it. Yes, I walk straight and speak eloquently, what an impeccable example of a human being I am. Then I have other perks, hand to finger coordination just super dupa.. you button up my shirt, I button it off again. My little bitty finger can flick the key tabs off of Dad's laptop keyboard. Don't look mad Just Dad, I was trying to write “I love you” in Morse code, before I could speak. I promise. What I still haven't been to overcome, is the dreaded afternoon nap....oh those deliciously soothing post lunch naps...why don't you want to nap you ask?..Well this is the time Mummy goes off on her adventures to coffee shops, movie arcade and even a birthday party..without me..NOT FAIR. She fills my tummy to the bursting, gives me a nice bath, with the air conditioner humming gently and soft soothing lullabies playing on the baby radio..I'm goner!..oh boy it can still be tough being 36 months and a bit!

What are the milestones achieved by your 36 month old?

Your little baby is officially a toddler now! Your toddler is growing stronger and more confident in his movements. He no longer needs to concentrate on walking, standing, running, or jumping. But he may still be a little unsteady with some actions, such as standing on tiptoes or on one foot. You're probably enjoying proper little chats with your child now. He's gaining a better understanding of abstract ideas, such as time. He may be able to talk about what he's doing now or something he's done in the past.

By now your toddler may be able to tell you his full name and gender, and perhaps even his age. Most of his speech will sound correct, but he'll still mix up his words when he's excited about something. Your little one is also becoming increasingly interested in playing with other children. However, she may be hesitant and unsure about how to make new friends. You can help her adjust to new playmates by giving her opportunities to meet other children. If she doesn't go to daycare or preschool, you can still find plenty of places -- like play dates -- to let her interact with children her own age. Sharing also is not necessarily a priority for your child at this age, so there may be some conflicts while playing with other children.
