What's the story behind the name you've given?

Well he is a full black coloured dog so we named him Ebony, after the black wood.

What is a typical day like for Ebony?

He will get up whenever my mother gets up, have his breakfast, and then go back to sleep. He would be sleeping by the time I wake up too and will continue to sleep for most of the day unless he’s eating, out in the garden or playing with my grandmother’s dog.

What are meal times like?

He is always hungry and can eat anytime anywhere! And he will finish his food within seconds, gulping it all down! I don’t think he even tastes it!

Does he have a favourite hang-out spot?

Yes, mostly under the dining table and below the staircase.

What is his most favourite fun time activity?

Probably going for walks in the neighbourhood and checking out the other canines.

What is the naughtiest thing he has done?

When he was a puppy, he used to chew all our slippers but thank goodness he grew out of that! But very recently he had nibbled on a chocolate cake we had kept up on the counter. He had somehow opened the box, eaten it, and then closed the box pretending to leave it as it is!

How did you find him?

We bought him through an advertisement in the newspaper.

What was his bath time like?

He didn’t like it when he was a pup and would take the towel in his mouth and run around the garden and it would take hours for him to settle down to bathe, but now he willingly goes to bathe, still with the towel in his mouth!

How did he react when you returned home?

He is the happiest and wags his tail so hard and comes running to the car and honestly that’s one of the best feelings in the world and all of the tiredness just melts away when I see him. Only dog owners will understand this pure moment of joy.

What's the best thing about him?

His pure love and loyalty. Also he’s one of the kindest and most patient dogs I’ve seen, especially towards other animals.

What was the most unforgettable moment and you shared with him?

There are many but his first day to the beach was very joyful! He was confused as to what this huge pond was but he loved waddling in the waves and was very content!
