ZZ Top will receive the Living Legend Award at the Classic Rock Roll Of Honour.
The veteran rockers - comprising Billy Gibbons, Frank Beard and Dusty Hill - will follow in the footsteps of Jeff Beck, Alice Cooper, Ozzy Osbourne, Jimmy Page and Iggy Pop when they pick up the accolade at the Orange Amplification Presents The Classic Rock Roll Of Honour in association with currencies.co.uk on November 13.
Frontman Billy Gibbons says he and his bandmates can't wait for the ceremony.
He told Classic Rock magazine: "ZZ Top band members are excitedly gearing up to attend the 2012 Classic Rock Awards, a celebration held in a timely manner following the long awaited release of the new ZZ disc, 'La Futura'. Good times for sure!
"We've stuck it out long enough to where this once unpredictable style, which has no basis other than oddness, brought us back into vogue."
Meanwhile, the group will also battle it out for the Band of the Year prize, but face competition in the category from Black Sabbath,
Guns n' Roses, Joe Bonamassa, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Rush.
Fans can vote in the awards - where categories include Best New Band, Event of the Year, and Album of the Year - at www.classicrockmagazine.com/awards.
The winners will be announced at London's Roundhouse on November 13.
