Young artists are making never before seen progress on the charts with the unexpected Carly Rae Jepsen hit “Call me maybe” climbing one spot to reach the top of the American Top 40. The weather these days seems rather paled in comparison to the heat on the charts this summer with a wave of young talent claiming their 15 minutes on the walk of fame. Most of the young artists seen on the mainstay contemporary charts are internet sensations who reached the people before they made it to the recording labels, fast tracking their way to the hearts and arms of millions of Youtube fans.

The revolution that is the connected generation, is proving that music is the universal language with worldwide audiences embracing their very own super stars whose rise of fame looks phenomenal even to the cliché “overnight sensation”

With the success of Youtube as a platform for talent and its recognition, justice is served best by reviewing those individuals whose potential has been rewarded by their fans long before the record labels cough up their million dollar deals. Here’s a list of young celebrities who look set to take the world on!

Megan Nicole

17 year old Megan is hardly an amateur with a 30 million high of Youtube views for her cover channel. The singer cum song writer based in Houston is the brightest of personalities ever seen on popular media.

Her blend of childish antics is in great discord with the maturity of her vocals. She specializes in mainstream pop tracks covering the likes of Bruno Mars, Taylor Swift and Demi Lovato with professionally produced visuals and a twist of originality that emerges poignant in her renditions.

She’s a delight to watch, mostly owing to her larger than life presence on screen and radiating smile. Megan recently released her original track “Beautiful” which currently holds in excess of 16 million views. As far as superstars go this one looks set to stay.

TeraBrite

The duo DJ Monopoly and Sabrina Abu Obeid form the group known as TeraBrite. Formed in 2009 the group is largely a cover band but is in the process of writing and recording their originals. This is the only band featured in the article partly cause of the sheer amount of bands and mostly due to the magnitude of talent these two young musicians have among them.

The chemistry is just right between them and I believe the two of them are an item. Sabrina is an amazing vocalist with a fairly impressive range and DJ seems well versed in the technical aspects of their music. The genre is a surprisingly heavy repertoire of rock numbers that are given a fresh touch thanks to the female vocals.

Terabrite covers quite a few Rihanna tracks and are possibly better at performing those tracks than Rihanna herself is. The visual element is also a reason to speculate considering that Sabrina is stunningly reminiscent of Haley, Paramore’s lead singer.

Hobbie Stuart

Hobbie is an Irish musician with an accent that translates so well into his music to the point that every track he covers is given a naturally fresh perspective. However that’s not to say that he doesn’t have much in the way of potential.

The youngster’s cover of Drake’s track Take Care is a Youtube sensation among the ladies due both to his good looks and vocals. He seems to not have found a specific genre to stick with and displays a wide range of styles that he’s decently adept in. His vocals are strong and well produced, a reminder of why he’s so successful with his viewers.

Madie Jane

15 year old Madie is the youngest entry in the list and is also one of the most accomplished with her new original “Barricade” circulating online with a steadily increasing positive reception.

Her vocals are beyond her years and foretell signs of a successful and very stable vocalist with an amazing range considering her covers of already well-established musicians in the industry.

Her rendition of “Jar of hearts” is an ideal indicator of the magnitude of potential the girl has in store. With an original already released, the youngster is an artist to look out for.

Karmin

The final entry Karmin is a personal favourite and is the second duo with a female vocalist on the list. Girl power is the name of the game with Amy Heidamann whose vocals are the highlight of their mind blowing performances.

Backed by Nick Noonan the duo are well known for their original “Broken hearted” and their single “Take it away” which was used in NBA final promos. Amy in addition to possessing a phenomenal vocal range also has a well honed talent for rapping.

Her vocals are often on display as in their cover of “Pumped up kicks” but her rapping is an even more rewarding performance. Examples are her covers of “Look at me now” and “Super bass” both of which she delivers with surprising capacity to belt out lyrics at a velocity most female vocalists are unfamiliar with.
