Colombo is getting ready for a weekend of Taste, Create, Connect and Celebrate as IN GOOD TASTE 2026, presented by The Shoppes at City of Dreams, brings together food, fashion, art, music, shopping and entertainment on 7 and 8 November 2026.
In partnership with the Wijeya Group, comprising Daily Mirror, Daily FT, Sunday Times, Lankadeepa, Lankadeepa Online, HI Online, HI Magazine and HI TV, as well as Derana and Ada Derana News Channel as the Official Electronic Media Partner, this two-day lifestyle festival promises an unforgettable weekend for visitors of all ages.
Taking over Levels 7, 8 and 9 of The Shoppes, the festival will bring together leading brands, local talent, emerging creatives and exciting experiences, with free entry from 10.30 a.m. onwards on both days.
 Enhancing the overall experience will be a vibrant selection of stalls featuring corporate giants including Singer, Paan Paan, Quantum Fitness and many more. Visitors can also explore an exciting range of food, fashion, jewellery, beauty, homeware, arts and crafts, table and bed linen and much more, brought together by talented home bakers, artisan craftsmen and small businesses.
With something for everyone, IN GOOD TASTE 2026 promises a weekend of shopping, food, fun, entertainment and experiences, bringing Colombo together under one roof for two unforgettable days.

TASTE

TASTE takes centre stage with IN GOOD FLAVOUR, an islandwide culinary competition featuring the Signature Dish and Dress the Cake competitions, alongside the ROAR Challenge Cocktail Competition.

Signature Dish challenges participants to create and present their own standout main course, while Dress the Cake gives bakers the opportunity to transform a cake into a creative showpiece. Celebrity Chef Koluu; Founder of Harpo’s Café and Restaurants Harpo Gooneratne; Executive Chef, Cinnamon Life Anish Padgaonkar; Executive Chef, Cinnamon Grand and MasterChef judge Kapila Jayasinghe; Editor, HI Magazine Shyamalee Tudawe; Founder of Cake Factory Hafsa Husain; Founder of Sugar Daddy LK & Cake Date Mahika Ferreira; and Queen of Cakes Maya Rajapakse will officiate at what promises to be a fun- filled culinary extravaganza, with participants competing for exciting Cinnamon Life, Cinnamon Lakeside and Cinnamon Grand internship opportunities.

The ROAR Challenge, a cocktail competition where participants will mix and shake their way to the top, will be judged by Head Sommelier of Cinnamon Life Wellington Muromba; Artisan Beverage Strategist, Wines & Spirits, Luxury Brands Vronsky Arendtsz; Co- Founder of Kampong Nadishka Dayawansa; and Navindi Jayasooriya and Kemashi Wickramasinghe of SERVD.

CREATE

CREATE comes alive through IN GOOD COLOUR, an islandwide amateur art competition where artists aged 15 and above can showcase their artistic talents by interpreting the theme “Our Planet – Nature, Wildlife & Animals.”

 The competition will be judged by art luminaries Iromie Wijewardena, Suresh Dominic, Malaka Talwatte, Professor Jagath Weerasinghe and Raja Segar. The top three artworks will be displayed at Cinnamon Life, while ten shortlisted artists will receive Merit Certificates. The art exhibition will be curated by Tharika Goonathilake  and Shyamala Pinto Jayawardena.

CONNECT brings fashion to the forefront with IN GOOD STRIDE, an islandwide model hunt by the BK Academy, and IN GOOD STYLE, a fashion showcase by Ministry of Brands (MOB).
IN GOOD STRIDE will be judged by International Designer and Judge at Top Model of the World 2025 and 2026 Kamil Hewavitharana; Manhunt International 2025 1st Runner-Up Piyumal Sithum Pattuwearachchi; and Top Model of the Year 2025 AYA Awards Derana TV Visna Fernando.

CELEBRATE

And then it’s time to CELEBRATE with IN GOOD VOICE, a spectacular Pop-Up Choir led by Soundarie David Rodrigo and the Soul Sounds Academy Poppers, exploring the unforgettable hits of ABBA.
Adding to the energy will be IN GOOD MOVES, a high-energy dance competition by the BK Academy, judged by Natasha Jayasuriya and Muddrika Swarnathilake.
