Fans of USA-based Mexican fast food chain Taco Bell can rejoice because news is rife that they're about to set up shop in our shores. Having served legions of fans in many parts of the world, Taco Bell will undoubtedly satiate Sri Lankan palates with their Tex-Mex fare that includes tacos, burritos, quesadillas, nachos and more, in addition to their famous "value meals".

Yum! Brands, which Taco Bell is a subsidiary of, along with KFC and Pizza Hut, has been looking to expand growth of the brand via international markets. Bloomberg claims that "the global push is part of the chain's previously announced goal of boosting annual sales to $15 billion by 2022 from $10 billion". This massive expansion will include 100 new locations domestically as well as in different locations worldover.

Social media is full of excited and hopeful Taco Bell fans in the country, and there is also currently a Facebook page (the authenticity of the page cannot be verified) that exists, with "coming soon" posts. Ready to get your hands on yummy Tex-Mex fare? We are too! Stay tuned for more info.
