Colombo’s youngest athletes are set to take centre stage as IRONKIDS Colombo makes its exciting return as part of the build-up to the world-class IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo, placing children and families at the heart of Sri Lanka’s biggest endurance sports celebration.
Taking place on 22 February at Port City Colombo, IRONKIDS Colombo offers children aged 3 to 14 the opportunity to experience the thrill of participating in an internationally recognised event. Young runners will enjoy age-appropriate fun runs in a safe, supportive environment and earn the unforgettable moment of crossing an official IRONMAN finish line, just like the champions they look up to.
Designed as a fun, family-friendly experience, IRONKIDS Colombo aims to inspire confidence, courage and a lifelong love for an active lifestyle among Sri Lanka’s next generation. Parents can register their children via www.serendibmultisport.com, where there are promotions offering chances to win free IRONKIDS entries and exclusive VIP race-day passes, including premium access near the finish line.
IRONKIDS Colombo forms a key pillar of Active Colombo Week, running from 19–22 February, a city-wide movement championing sport, wellness and urban vitality.
The week will also feature the KAYA Colombo – Active Lifestyle & International Expo, held from 19–21 February at Shangri-La Colombo, showcasing fitness, health, nutrition, travel and lifestyle brands, alongside interactive sessions for athletes and the public.
All activities culminate on 22 February with the flagship IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo triathlon, taking place in and around Port City Colombo, featuring swim, bike and run courses through Colombo’s iconic urban and coastal landscapes.
Together, IRONKIDS, Active Colombo Week and IRONMAN 70.3 Colombo reaffirm the city’s growing reputation as a dynamic hub for international sport, community engagement and healthy living.
