Why do you love travel?
I love to explore other countries by visiting their significant places and experiencing the varied culture and the people.
Your favourite travel destination and why?
I have yet to visit so many countries but from what I have experienced it is Malaysia as this country makes me feel at home.
What do you need for a perfect holiday?
My husband Mahen and son Gayen as they too love to explore and not forgetting beautiful scenery, great cuisine and comfortable accommodation.
In which country have you felt most at home?
Most unusual souvenir you have brought home?
Since I am a lover of singing and music, I'd say I've brought home many rare musical souvenirs in the form of jewellery, bags and clothes. I actually find myself going shopping for such musical items whenever I am abroad.
Worst holiday or travel experience?
Getting lost in Bangkok after taking the wrong monorail (in the wrong direction) and not finding a single person who spoke English to direct us to the correct destination.
Best piece of travel advice?
Always plan ahead and research about the particular destination before you go in order to avoid wasting time.
Your top five travel destinations?
Malaysia, UK, Singapore, Bangkok and Canada.
What has travel taught you?
The variety and diversity of humankind and cuisine. And also to be thankful for what we have and the opportunities we have received in life.
Which country did you taste the best ever cuisine?
In Malaysia.
Next travel destination?
Malaysia or India.
