Dinner Theatre with a popular demand!
How shall one describe it? A splendid occasion or a glorious evening? The 'Dinner Theatre' of the Thomian Society of Colombo would be both in one. There has been much enthusiasm evinced not only by Thomians but a host of non-Thomians as well, who are waiting expectantly with their fingers crossed to watch the popular actor Indu Dharmasena and his handpicked team, come up trumps with an absolutely hilarious and satirical play titled “Love, Lies and Wildlife.”
This brand new edition will carry political and social overtones that will be a sheer delight. If ever one desired to get happy, fall off the chair with rib-tickling laughter and then enjoy a 5-star sit-down dinner, this is that opportunity. It will commence on Sunday, 20th September 2015 at 7.30 pm at the Galadari Hotel. Founder President and Patron of the Thomian Society of Colombo, Dr. Vijaya Corea, said that the Planning Committee, headed by Dulip de Alwis had designed it to be the ‘Loveliest Night of the Year' with the bonus of valuable prizes on the Entrance Ticket Draw. Spirits and bites of the highest quality and standard for both ladies and gentlemen will adorn every table. Proceeds from the evening would go towards the worthy cause of enabling continuity of academic careers for students, who are brilliant yet economically constrained, by the provision of well deserved scholarships.
Tickets priced at Rs. 6000/- have now begun to move and are available at the Grand Oriental Hotel, Fort. Many have already got together to catch the fun in tables of ten, as every purchase of 10 tickets qualify for a reserved table.
