Decadent High Tea experiences at Cinnamon’s city hotels for the festive season!
The city sidewalks are dressed in holiday lights and you feel an old, familiar nip in the air to remind you that the season of goodwill and cheer is upon us. What better way to savour the moment whilst relaxing with friends and family than with a Christmas-themed High Tea at two of Colombo’s most prestigious five-star hotels – Cinnamon Grand and Cinnamon Lakeside.
At Cinnamon Grand, the Christmas High Tea takes on an interesting turn as it presents a seven-themed High Tea experience, offering delectable treats of traditional English afternoon and evening teas, with a modern twist. Featuring a variety of flavours, each day of the week is dedicated to one of the seven themes – English afternoon, Yorkshire, Welsh, London Avenue, Royal Windsor, Norfolk and Hampshire. Inclusive of half a dozen sandwich choices and an array of savouries, scone and tea sweets, the Christmas High Tea is on from 01 to 31 December at the Tea Lounge from 3.00 p.m to 6.00 p.m. Priced at Rs.2,300, this High Tea experience is a must, especially for the connoisseur who appreciate the finer things in life.
Cinnamon Lakeside’s The Lounge will also be privy to glorious yuletide aroma emanating from the Family High Tea spread during December. Guaranteeing freshly baked savories, cakes and sweets, victoria sandwiches and scones, the selection offered is vast! Open faced sandwiches, grilled sandwiches made to order, a range of hot finger food such as croquets, chicken and seafood wonton (and more) also makes the cut along with a tempting range of sweets. For the kids and kids at heart, a chocolate fountain will also be laid out at the buffet. On from 21 to 23 December and back again from 26 to 30 December, the Family High Tea will be the perfect setting to catch up with your loved ones whilst celebrating the season. Tickets are priced at Rs.2,300 for adults and Rs.1,150 for kids.
