A charity musical show will be held on September 14 at the Vihara Maha Devi Amphitheatre featuring bands such as Angel Down, Cry Wolf, Circus Cult, The Famers, Last Call For Patience and artists Nathan Eardly, Jude Perera, the BroBotz and Aaron Wickremasinghe.
The event is organized by the Consortium of Humanitarian Agencies (CHA), a non-profit organization.
The raised funds will be utilized in supporting the establishment of a free psychological care service involving a multi-disciplinary team of professional clinical psychologists, counselors, medical professionals and special workers to cater to psychosocial rehabilitation needs of the mentally challenged, poverty stricken afflicted individuals.
Within our network of individuals needing support, the target groups include the mentally challenged and disabled individuals coming from extremely poverty stricken backgrounds, teenage mothers who were subjected to rape and abuse, people living with AIDS and their caregivers, individuals with Multiple Sclerosis whose motor abilities are compromised, and teenage drug addicts.
This would be done by providing a platform for these vulnerable individuals to undergo psychosocial rehabilitation and long term psychological therapeutic care through the CHA’s psychological clinic.
Tickets can be purchased at No. 86, Rosmead Place, Colombo 7. They are also available with the organizers (Harithra 0772331846, Iram 0773578231) and can be purchased from the Yamaha Music School.
Furthermore, tickets can be also purchased at the entrance of the venue at the day of the event.
