G as he is popularly known amongst his friends lives and works in Hong Kong as President (Commercial) North East Asia at Advantis Freight Intl. Having lived in Hong Kong for over ten years he knows it inside out. During his free time he likes watching movies, listening to music, rugby and walking. He confesses to an intense dislike for ironing and fake people and jokes that he would like to iron out fake people from his life! 

Why do you love travel? 

It give me an opportunity to discover new destinations, meet new people, learn about their culture and taste local food and drink. 

Your favourite travel destination and why? 

Thailand. As it remains an incredible country with a unique wealth of natural and inner human beauty. Great food, amazing shopping and enjoy of course the people. 

What do you need for a perfect holiday? 

A perfect holiday will be one that does not have much planning to it. 

In which country have you felt most at home? 

Whenever I come to Sri Lanka. 

Most unusual souvenir you have brought home? 

Myself! Haha. 

Worst holiday or travel experience? 

Travelling to Chennai was a horrendous experience with its bad traffic and bad hygiene and to make matters worse my flight home was cancelled. 

Best piece of travel advice? 

Never have a meticulous plan - leave some space for any impulsive adventures! 

Your top five travel destinations? 

Bangkok, Phnom Penh, Jakarta, Manila and Qingdao (China). 

What has travel taught you? 

To respect people and their ways of living. 

Which country did you taste the best ever cuisine? 

Szechuan food in China.

Myanmar.
