Today on WTF, on ‘Cafes in Colombo’, I went off to have some decent coffee and good waffles at “Cup Cafe”. The other cafes need some tweaking!

“Cup Cafe” is a simple and kinda comfy coffee shop across from ODEL in Colombo 7. It's a good place which opened about a year ago and I feel it’s a great location and has super potential in being a top end place.

However, I feel it has not gotten some LOVE in some time - let's say it needs some maintenance. The food has to be worked on but the drinks are good and affordable.

It's central and that's a blessing, but it's not as cool as other coffee shops. It is popular with tourists who walk by a lot - but I will sure visit the place for their waffles!

I tried the club sandwich "grilled chicken". It had fresh green apple slices! I thought it was a great combination. Priced at Rs.550/=.

I must say the coffee was amazing. It was really worth the money!

We tried the Cappuccino which was on point.

I ended my stay with chocolate and strawberry waffles - so worth my time and money; all priced at Rs.550/= They have added the flavour to the batter so with a scoop of vanilla ice cream it's great!

They also have coffee flavoured on if you want to try all three!
