I took a stroll down Thimbirigasyaya Road when I stumbled upon a cute little nook called The Bread Company. And I just HAD to feature them. It's just that the place was cozy, the food was warm and everything was so real and straight from a hearty hearth. What's great about this place is that it is not complicated.

Speaking to the people behind the brand they say the inspiration come from a lack of rustic bread in the local market. They had started making different types of breads and everything somewhat sprang from that. "A great breakfast to us, involves eggs and toast!"

Here people get a chance to create their own order. Be it the sandwich and the topping or any of the breakfast menu items, they allow customers to customize it if they wish to. They have won a name for themselves with their pork knuckle. The preparation takes a full day and they need a day's notice to deliver the goods, and when it's ready, it's heaven on a plate!

I had the following and recommend them as the best picks from my plate to yours.

From the fresh juice range, I tried the beetroot and orange.

For my cold drink, I had an iced chocolate, and it just hit the right spot.

Something that you can never go wrong with is their Strammer Max, which is toast, topped with bacon or chicken or mushroom, and if you are a not into the meats, then you'll be accompanied by two sunny sides smiling at you.

Then I tried the hearty breakfast, which is just on point! It comes with fried bread cubes embedded in a flat omelette with veggies and bacon or chicken and priced at just Rs. 900.

From their sandwich range, the BLT priced at Rs. 500 is great value for money with every single precious bite.

One of their all time favorites is the cinnamon rolls, that are usually sold hot off the oven and disappear just as fast as they hit the counter.

The idea behind The Bread Company is to offer a range of bread found in Germany and Europe, with the stronger denser flavours being their best sellers at the moment.
