What - The Kingsbury Luxury Apartments

Where - Colombo 03, on the corner of Galle Road and Bagatalle Road

When - Open from today!

Today on WTF, I packed my pages and went not so far away, but I did leave home to luxury that was beyond words. Why spend so much and book different rooms, and not hang out with family and friends when you can have them all with you? And that’s what you can do when you stay at the all new The Kingsbury Luxury Apartments. I love the view, the comfort and especially the hospitality.

The Kingsbury being the trendsetter in the Sri Lankan hospitality industry, have taken the lead once again to transform apartment living by eliminating the usual claustrophobic feeling to one with blissful space that extends up to 2,400sq feet. The all-glass floor to ceiling windows offer resplendent views of the ocean and the city of Colombo as well as a feeling of infinite space, let in plenty of natural light and your apartment will be bright and airy just like at home. And it sure did as it was a place to look into the sky and fall asleep looking at the stars.

From a design aspect, The Kingsbury apartments are well appointed with contemporary furnishings in a soothing palette giving a distinctive cosmopolitan in look-n-feel. They are also fully furnished and is available in five categories; Ocean Premier,- 4 bedroom, Ocean View – 3 bedroom, Premium City View – 3 bedroom, Deluxe City View – 3 bedroom and Superior City View – 3 bedroom. The fourth floor of the apartments is dedicated for recreation and has a swimming pool, a sun deck, a state-of-the-art gymnasium, sauna, The Kingsbury’s own spa - Senses Spa, the Lobby Bistro and a meeting room for business meetings or intimate gatherings, I tried them all, and for some odd reason I even made it to the gym! I felt like I needed to get in there, as it was too good to say no!

As The Kingsbury signature feature and keeping to true luxury, their apartments are complete with branded linen and Bvlgari designer bath amenities, which I did enjoy.

The Kingsbury apartments are situated in Colombo 3 on the corner of Galle Road and Bagatalle Road, making it extremely central to all that Colombo has to offer, be it restaurants, hospitals, banks, offices or shopping centres. As a guest of the apartments, you will have the privilege of using all the facilities at The Kingsbury too and a shuttle service to get you there should you so wish to enjoy two properties during your stay. And that’s what I did, as I had to try the hotel brunch and I must say it was filling goodness. Yet another 24hr service is the concierge services to provide you with any assistance in getting around Colombo.

In total the spa, the food and the pool is just too good to say no to, and you have to book one today and get your friends and family there!

Danu Innasithamby

Danu Innasithamby is proof that one person can survive on coffee, curiosity, and an unhealthy number of WhatsApp messages. A television host, actor, producer, writer, and professional chatterbox, he’s spent years turning conversations into stories and stories into memorable television. Born in Jaffna and proudly calling Sri Lanka home, Danu has built a career around asking the questions everyone else is thinking—but with a smile that usually gets him out of trouble. Whether he’s interviewing celebrities, hosting major events, judging competitions, or chasing the next great story, there’s never really a dull moment. When he’s not on screen, he’s busy supporting local talent, championing meaningful causes through Sri Lankan Smile, or convincing himself that “just one more project” is a perfectly reasonable life choice. Known for his humour, colourful suits, quick wit, and the ability to make almost anyone laugh, Danu believes life is best lived with good conversations, great food, and a healthy dose of sarcasm. If you spot him, don’t be surprised if you’re suddenly part of an interview… or at least a really entertaining conversation.
