Mumbai- ing all the way!

  • 10 April 2024

Today I wanted to write about my stay at ITC Maratha, and excited to know that we can have these experiences soon in Sri Lanka with ITC opening its doors soon.

This hotel is a world of its own, Inspired by the majestic decor of the Maratha dynasty, ITC Maratha, Mumbai presents 5-star accommodation and hospitality from the time you step into the property,

Everything so grand and hospitality provided in the most personal manner is what makes ITC a brand to fall in love with. This is always a good pick as a hotel for those who are flying in, as it’s Just 1.7 km away from Mumbai Airport, making it an easy stop

Food is never an issue here, as you are just spoiled for Choice with over 8 dining options, I'm out of which two restaurants ranking in Asia's top 50 you know your food is going to be a magical experience

Peshwa Pavilion has been my everyday place, where I have enjoyed both international and Indian dishes and options are always too good to make that final call, while the Peshawri Speciality Restaurant boasts delicious North-Western Indian food with a true old-school look and feel to it but I must say my favourite was the Fabelle, the chocolate Boutique, where everything was warm and yummy, I have never seen chocolate made to look so sexy and it’s a celebration of ITCs feminine side

Each floor is dedicated to art and walking down the corridors is always so pleasing to the eye, if Sleep is what you’re looking out for ITC Maratha will never disappoint you, the pillows and beddings are clouds to float your way into sleep, because of the demand ITC is now giving away the secret to sleep with their retail brand “sleep” where you can buy everything that will make your room as comfortable as the rooms in the hotel.

If you have Mumbai in mind, make sure you have ITC on your list that you will enjoy.

A television host, actor, producer, writer, and professional chatterbox, he’s spent years turning conversations into stories and stories into memorable television. Born in Jaffna and proudly calling Sri Lanka home, Danu has built a career around asking the questions everyone else is thinking—but with a smile that usually gets him out of trouble. Whether he’s interviewing celebrities, hosting major events, judging competitions, or chasing the next great story, there’s never really a dull moment. When he’s not on screen, he’s busy supporting local talent, championing meaningful causes through Sri Lankan Smile, or convincing himself that “just one more project” is a perfectly reasonable life choice. Known for his humour, colourful suits, quick wit, and the ability to make almost anyone laugh, Danu believes life is best lived with good conversations, great food, and a healthy dose of sarcasm. If you spot him, don’t be surprised if you’re suddenly part of an interview… or at least a really entertaining conversation.
