Today on the Buzz I touch base with another Peterite. I can describe him as a person born with talent. In school like most of us, he was a boy with a few words, and like most boys in Catholic Schools he too was a choir boy. It’s amazing to see how he has made many things which he loves a part of his life. Capturing many sides of art and creativity, from photography to music, it’s great to see a skilled man like this going places.
I love his take to photography. In a place where things are so crowded, his pictures have more breathing space. Today he speak about his life and everything that makes him what he is.
Who has been your biggest support in making this a reality?
Too many, Family for sure, and a few close friends.
Tell me your style of photography?
Simple, less distraction, pretty gloomy and not so vibrant.
Would you call your self-fashionable?
Not really, although I’m very picky with colours. I tend to stick to muted colours like grey, beige, white, brown, black etc. I don’t like prints, or brand names shown on what I wear.
What have you planned for this year?
It’s a surprise
What would you say, is the biggest challenge creative people face in this country in your opinion?
Exposure, appreciation.
What was one of your most defining moments in life?
Everything I experienced in Melbourne. That year changed me a fair bit I would say.
What does a “day of work” look like?
A regular day - gym, lunch, client meetings, lunch again, rehersals/shoot, dinner/catching up with a mate, late night convo with mum, the siblings and the dogs at home #drama. A busy day – gym, lunch, a 10-12 hour wedding, or performing with the band.
Tell me about your music?
I’ve been lucky enough to find a bunch of young musicians who are extremely talented and who have a similar passion and an equal amount of soul for the type of music that we play. Jazz, R&B, soul, funk are the genres that I/we enjoy playing, and I do enjoy listening to hip-hop/rap as well.
How do you balance your busy life, and personal life?
Not sure, but it seems to be pretty balanced.
