The Paradise Road Group of Companies is delighted to announce the Mumbai launch of ‘Udayshanth Fernando: Living Design’, the definitive monograph chronicling the creative journey of the founder of Paradise Road. Hosted by Pavitra Rajaram, Creative Director of Nilaya Anthology, within the design-led space on 13 June 2026, the evening featured an engaging conversation between Udayshanth Fernando, Pavitra Rajaram, and Bandana Tewari, moderated by Komal Sharma. Bringing together leading figures from design, architecture, fashion, media, and culture, the discussion offered a compelling exploration of Fernando's creative journey, design philosophy, and enduring contribution to contemporary design.

Reflecting on the shared values that connect Nilaya Anthology and Udayshanth Fernando's creative practice, Pavitra Rajaram said: “At the heart of Nilaya Anthology is the belief that beauty is found in the making. It is a philosophy that finds a natural parallel in Udayshanth Fernando's work, where design, craftsmanship, culture, and community are inextricably linked. Every choice we make is guided by the understanding that process is where meaning, authenticity, and value are created”.

Speaking at the launch, Udayshanth Fernando reflected on the vision behind the publication:
"Every picture tells a story, and this book holds within it a carefully curated selection of my designs, artworks from my collection, and spaces from my home - all reflecting my personal aesthetic. The publication celebrates the spaces, objects, and experiences that have shaped my creative world."

The evening concluded with an exclusive signing session, where guests had the opportunity to meet Fernando and gain deeper insight into his creative journey.

Printed in Italy by Rizzoli International, ‘Udayshanth Fernando: Living Design’ showcases Fernando's distinctive creative vision, blending Sri Lankan cultural heritage with a refined global modernism. The volume also provides a rare glimpse into Fernando's private collection, featuring works by celebrated members of Sri Lanka's renowned '43 Group, including George Keyt and Ivan Peries. Through its thoughtful curation of art, objects, and materials, ‘Udayshanth Fernando: Living Design’ reveals a design philosophy rooted in craftsmanship, authenticity, and enduring relevance.
