Bollywood had earlier taken to Twitter to express their anger against the recent gang-rape of a photojournalist in Mumbai. Some actors, led by Sonam Kapoor, took to the Mumbai roads for a silent protest.
They walked from Joggers Park to the amphitheatre on Carter Road with 'India against rape' banners and placards. Earlier, Sonam had tweeted, "I am really shocked and taken aback with the recent shameful incident that took place in Mumbai. A sheer act of cowardice."
She was joined by singer Sona Mohapatra, Kannada actress Reshma D'souza, TV actor Karanvir Bohra, Teejay Sidhu, Kushaal Punjabi, Dalip Tahil and Baba Siddique, among others.
