A name giving ceremony for 15 baby elephants was held at the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage recently.15 baby elephants which were born during the year 2011 were named by choosing names from suggestions given by local and foreign visitors.

    What is the use of all these noise ,after all these poor animals will get a life sentence with hard labour in a temple or a VIP's mini zoo. It is very fashionable for the new rich to own an pet elephant and show their wealth.
