The opening ceremony of Mahindra Sri Lanka Premier League was held on the 10th of August at the Sugathadasa Indoor Stadium.
Maxi Priest along with Chris Gayle, Bathiya and Santhush with Lasith Malinga & Tillakaratne Dilshan, Reenie with Sanath Jayasuriya, Lanthra & Ashanthi, Arjun Kumaraswami and Lazer Act performed at the opening ceremony.
The T20 League kicks off from August 11th and will be played over three weeks at two venues - Colombo and Kandy. The tournament will be running till 31st August 2012.
