Dynamite!

Colombo was lit up like dynamite on the 12th of July when Sean Kingston, Taio Cruz and Big Reeno performed at the Carlton Super 7s Launch Concert, held at the CR&FC grounds.

The show was off to a slow start while the crowd began filling in the grounds. However, Red FM kept the crowd moving and on their toes with some hot beats. There was a surprising number of a younger fan base in the crowd, of course, accompanied by their parents.

First up was Big Reeno! Many didn’t really know who he was at the start but he definitely was able to get the party started with some crazy energy!

Next up, entering with his famous ‘Me love', Sean Kingston got on stage to face the sea of screaming Lankans. He performed many favorites like ‘Dutty love’, ‘Fire Burning’ and also covered one of Rihanna’s songs  ‘Pour it up’. One fan was lucky enough to be invited on stage with Kingston and then serenaded by her idol to the lyrics of ‘Beautiful girls’.

The launch party wouldn’t have been complete without the tournament’s captains coming on stage to show off their official team uniform. The team captains were in good spirits as they busted a move or two as the DJ spun some beats.  The official Theme song written and performed by Sean Kingston and Big reeno was also launched that evening. It was disappointing that both artistes did not perform it live, but rather had only the track played.

Last but not least, bringing the entire house down was Taio Cruz who got the crowd jumping with his popular club bangers like ‘Dirty Picture’,’ Break Your heart’, ‘Higher’ also covering Usher & Guetta’s Without You. The crowd urged him on for two additional songs ending the night with ‘Hangover’. He ended his set with a BANG with his signature hit Dynamite! literally: there were fireworks!

The night didn't just end there, the party continued on at the Amuseum lounge where the stars were also present.

Ranil. Your comments speaks volumes about you, There is nothing called cheap entertainment. Either its good or bad. By the looks of it, it was good , so many people seemed to have enjoyed it. Your comment about cheap people is not only condescending but in very bad taste, to call other human beings cheap as they are enjoying what they like. There are no cheap human beings only good or bad humans. I don't see any bad human beings here as they all seem to be smiling and enjoying themselves

Fellows who are commenting on others and making disparaging remarks are all frustrated people. Lets dance when a good jig is there and available on our soil too. It is of course good fun without having animosity about others.

This show shows the mentality of the Sri Lankan women and their culture. Women should be protected and dress modestly. Women should not be objects of desire for males. In this month the authorities should have not had this event as this promotes indecency and bad behavior. Women should dress modestly. I have no problem with women enjoying music but they should not allow women to dress like this and attend these events without parental supervision. This shows that Buddhism and Buddhist culture ha

Ikram : Once again you come with you archaic foolish comments. Are you not surprised at the stagnation of societies that think like you? Take a good look around the world at any society that think like you or espouses your archaic ideas? Where these have turned into a static or theocratic States in its conscience and thinking. Creativity replaced by superstition, un-productiveness, narrow-minded attitude, illiteracy and foolishness. Your way of thinking is a affront to the modern world. W

To young Ladies in this concert, I am guy and I too like looking at girls who wear sexy cloths, but but ladies... why are all these young girls are showing so much skin, I know young girls like attention from boys, each girl is competing for attention from hot guys. But seriously why, you think a guy who like a girl for showing sexy legs or skin will be with you for life, Nooooo... once he looses his interest and your figure goes old, he will look for another younger girl. to All SL young girls,

Ikram , Here is an interesting survey: Google, the world’s most popular Internet search engine, has found in a survey that mostly Muslim states seek access to sex-related websites and Pakistan tops the list. Google found that of the top 10 countries - searching for sex-related sites - six were Muslim, with Pakistan on the top. The other Muslim countries are Egypt at number 2, Iran at 4, Morocco at 5, Saudi Arabia at 7 and Turkey at 8. Non-Muslim states are Vietnam at 3, India at 6, Philippines a

#Ikram. We live in a secular, liberal democracy and not in a religious theocracy. Your comments are not in keeping with that. We do not have religious police (mutaween) as in Saudi Arabia or Iran who go about looking at the way people dress with canes in their hand, hitting women for exposing an ankle or face. None of these people at this concert were inappropriately dressed, we have freedom here. We do not expect women to be covered to head to toe. If you want laws such as that, you are livin

@Ikram. This is for you: Isn't this the absolute  truth.  Totally Brilliant, how come they don't see this? What can be done about it? I have to admit, this is brilliant...never heard it put this way...so succinct and to the point...plain and simple!!! Whoever thought this out is nothing less than a genius The Muslims are not happy! They're not happy in Gaza . They're not happy in Egypt . They're not happy in Libya . They're not happy in Morocco . They're not happy in Iran . They're not happy i

Ikram: So you deny me my name? To you who is completely brain washed and cannot think independently, every thing is propaganda or brain washing, It's you who have been brain washed. Islam is not the fasted growing religion in the world, it has been proved otherwise. True, muslim families who crept to the West have large families. e.g The British birth rate is 1.2 children per family but the Muslim birth rate is 6.8 births per family. Also 98% of the asylum seekers and illegal immigrants trying

#Ikram; I am going to ask just 5 questions, and we shall see if you have the integrity, the intelligence, the honesty, and the courage to answer them without resorting to false accusations, without obfuscating the issue, without evading the issue, and without changing the subject. This is your chance to earn respect from the rest of us. Don't blow it. 1. Why is it that of the roughly 400 known terrorist groups in the world, over 90% of them are Islamic, when Muslims account for just 20% of t

Ikram; you keep repeating yourself, that' islam is the fastest growing religion etc. hoping it would stick , in your brain washed mind that cannot think for itself intelligently. The Islamic religion has a long history of myth making. The claim they are the fastest growing religion in the world is pure myth. The latest collected statistics from David A. Barrett's huge two volume, "World Religious Encyclopedia", the 2009 AD edition disproves this. In case you haven't heard of this work, it is th

Hilarious: No one wastes time in intelligent discourse. My comments here to Ikram was in response to his comments of 07/17/13, where he made the bold accusation ( besides other nonsense), that Buddhism and Buddhist culture has failed in Sri Lanka. Idiots cannot discuss intelligently which you seem to be one. This is a public forum for comments and anyone with any intelligence is allowed to comment. In your case this applies" We are all born ignorant, but one must work hard to remain stupid."
