Mount Lavinia Hotel took on the glam of the good old 50’s and 60’s as Lite Fm crowned the new Miss Universe Sri Lanka for this year. Amanda Ratnayake walked away with the coveted title at the close of what was a well organized event.
Simerene was first runner up, with Christina coming in as second runner up. Denushka won our very own Life Online Miss Popularity Award.
Amanda was a clear favourite of many and she bagged mini-titles too, the interesting Miss Personality and Best Evening Wear. The event altogether was a great entertainer, all things considered and people seemed to be largely satisfied.

Mini Titles were awarded are as follows: Miss Glowing Skin (presented by Glow) to Simerene. Miss Beautiful Figure (presented by Hi-Green) and Miss Photogenic (by Ranweli Resort) was awarded to Christina.

Badly tailored and it screams cheap cheap cheap. Who decides on these designers? 50's and 60's glamour? I dont think so more like cheap fabric from Pamunuwa and copied from some old catalogue. The designers should have researched the ball gowns of the 50's and 60's not just thrown together some badly tailored dresses together. The short d

Amanda sure does look attractive and deserve the crown, but I have met many Sri Lankan girl's who are undeniably Natural and who have very strong features of just being Sri lankan, the girls which are sent are mostly Burgher in origin, why cant we find authentic Sri lankan women who are beautiful and modernly Sri lankan?
