A collection of rustic intricacies, clashing DayGio hues and kaleidoscopic embroidery come together in this fresh collection from INDI for the Spring Summer season.

INDI, presents its second collection at Sri Lanka’s designer boutique store Melache. The designer behind ‘INDI’ (pictured on the left) strives to create forward thinking fashion which is wearable, creating individual, conceptual yet wearable clothing which are detailed, luxurious, sophisticated and elegant. The designer was educated in design in the UK and upon her return to Sri Lanka, worked at MAS Holdings before she launched her label earlier this year at Melache.

This collection marks a second successful collection for INDI and illustrates her love of marrying various elements together. The collection consists of strong, graphic embroidery (black and white embroidery mixed with darker colours is a recognizable element) combined with warm, earthy tones (black, browns, deep reds, hint of navy and oranges) and natural accents (straw and wood). The collection affords the luxury of mixing and matching different pieces to create one’s own look and styling.

The collection comprises a mix of elements that can be played up or down, depending on the mood and occasion.

The collection launched on Wednesday 20 June at Melache (No 29/3m Visaka Pvt Road, Colombo 04)

Great to see an indigenous creative fashionista's creations. I hope she is very successful. With the tourist industry on the rise, there would be a big market for this. Congratulations.
