Ishani Bandaranayake loves to bring love into events – and that about sums up why she started up “Love Creations”, her event planning program for birthday parties, corporate functions, weddings and product launches. Her handmade décor items are part of the whole package that would spin the event around.

What is the story behind Love Creations? When, why and how did you start it?

It all began with my daughter’s birthday parties. I love trying out new ideas and themes and made the décor for my daughter’s first and second birthdays. When my friends and relatives saw this, they encouraged me and pushed me to start making décor for their parties as well. From then on I started “Love Creations” and have been satisfying all my clients with unique décor.

What can people get from Love Creations?

Starting from invitations to the goodie bags and everything in between, such as pinatas, table décor, other décor, décor using balloons, nail art, games, food and many more according to each client’s requirements. This is an easy way of planning parties for busy parents and others too allowing them to spend time with their family as everything else is taken care of before and during the party hours.

Why did you choose to call your brand "Love Creations"?

Actually, I didn't choose the name and it was my eldest daughter who gave the name when she came in search of me late one night and she saw me making the décor. I stopped my work and took her to bed. I don’t mix my children’s responsibility with my party work so I start my work after 10 pm and go on till about 2am as every décor is handmade. As soon as she saw that I had a lot of love to deliver the best and when asked this very same question she said “LOVE” without any delay! And that’s how the name came about.
