Jacqueline Fernandes dons the look of a village belle for her desi item number, Jadoo Ki Jhappi, in the Girish Kumar and Shruti Haasan-starrer, Ramaiya Vastavaiya.
Jackie's dance moves have been choreographed by Vishnudheva, who is also the brother of the film's director Prabhudheva.
According to sources, the actress went on a no carb-diet for two weeks prior to the shooting of the song. She also chalked out a special fitness programme, aiming to sculpt her petite frame and increase her core strength and flexibility. In fact, she was so dedicated that she even injured her foot during the rehearsals. The special cameo appearance will see Jackie sporting a colourful lehenga choli.
Producer Kumar Taurani says, "It was a pleasure working with Jacqueline. She is a fine dancer and she never complained about us going for several takes despite her foot injury."
Adds Prabhudheva, "Jacqueline is an extremely hard-working girl. I can't imagine anyone doing a better job on the song."
