What to get your Dad this Father’s Day

With Father’s Day just around the corner, most of you have to be worried about what to get your dad. He is easily the most difficult family member to shop for. Even when you ask him sometimes what he would like as a gift, his response is more often than not ‘I don’t want anything child!’ But of course you want to get him something, so here is a guide to how to shop for your dad this Father’s Day.

For Your Traveller Dad

Skullcandy or Beats Headphones / Earphones - He is first going to ask you whether you are crazy but wait till he listens to his favourite song from it!

A Kindle - If he loves to read, a Kindle will keep him sane during long transits and flights. He obviously likes to travel light so he won’t be carrying many books.

A Power Bank - How many times has his phone died out while getting to places? So when you get him this gift he will forever be grateful. And he has no excuse for not calling from the duty free to check whether you want anything!

(You can visit Majestic City or Liberty Plaza to buy these items and the Kindle will have to be ordered through Amazon).

For Your Well-Dressed Dad

Cufflinks - I know what you are thinking - this is too ordinary for your fashion conscious dad. But what if you get his initials engraved? Or try to find a special edition set made from his alma mater? He is going to be ecstatic!

Socks - Simply because this maybe something he will never get as a gift. If you are able to find out his favourite brand of socks and get him with a basketload of them, you can only imagine how surprised he is going to be!

(Visit Odel to buy the items and Kent to personalise them).

Gift Vouchers! - HSBC Premier Customers get a special offer for vouchers from Hameedias, Emerald etc. You can check them out here

For Your Handyman Dad

A Tool Kit - Get him something different to what he already has. So if he has an ordinary set, get him a miniature version that he can easily carry about.

A Portable First Aid Kit - Being the handyman dad I am sure he gets into a lot of trouble and hurts himself a lot. So a first aid kit will be both thoughtful and useful.

(You can find these items at Arpico).

For Your Gourmet Dad

A Knife Set - He knows how important it is to have sharp knives, so a new set will never go to waste.

Salt and Pepper Shakers - Again a customised one will be perfect. Or a really cute pair that he will love.

(These items can be found at Arpico or even Odel).

For Your Fitness Freak Dad

Apple Watch - Simply because it will keep track of how many steps he has taken within the day. If he is serious about his fitness, you know he is going to love it.

An Armband - This is something that is overlooked by most. If you get him one, he can listen to his music while working out.

(To buy the watch you can visit the BT store or Majestic City and for the armband visit a sports shop like Reebok).
