We all LOVE watching SpongeBob SquarePants and more importantly, we simply adored both SpongeBob and Patrick.

This time on #MyPetandMe we've got two beauties who are definitely not your ordinary pet. Meet SpongeBob and Patrick, two gorgeous green Indian Ringneck Parakeets - in other words, two beautiful, yet talented parrots! Now by talented I mean, they are the kind who enjoys YouTube tutorials just as much as we do, only they like to imitate other parrots. Talk about real life pet goals!

Name : SpongeBob and Patrick
Breed : Indian Ringneck Parakeet
Age : 2 Years
Owner : Firi Rahman

What’s the story behind the name you’ve given?
My nephew and I are super fans of SpongeBob SquarePants series, so why not? (There is a new member of our family, we named him Plankton.)

What are meal times and bath times like?
(They are the alarm for me). I cannot get a wink of sleep until I feed them some fruits, first thing in the morning at 6. They go ‘gaga’ for passion fruit and sunflower seed. My babies love to bathe, they enjoy mist spray during a sunny day and a tray of clean water is a pool for them.

Do they do anything out of the ordinary which fascinates you?
Well, they don’t have a superpower but they know how to open a closed window and sneak into the room and eat my food.

What’s their favorite fun time activity?
They get hyped up for flight exercise, they love free flight, they love to watch YouTube videos of talking parrots, and imitate them. Whenever I prepare some popcorn, the smell will drag them into the kitchen and they’d would watch me prepare it while perched on my shoulder.

What’s the naughtiest thing they’ve done?
There are list of things to say. They pooped on my very important sketches, ate my cactus, ripped off my headphone wire, broke my beautiful bottles, damaged my little antiques and I can’t still fix some of my keyboard keys.

How did you find them?
I’ve already got 3 rescued parrots. I usually set them free once they are fully recovered. Unfortunately, some birds are flightless, ex-pets so they cannot survive in the wild. Sponge and Patrick were rescued during a storm (and soon will be introduced to the wild).

How do they react when you return home?
As soon as I enter the room, they peek through the window and fly screaming around and land on my head or shoulder. Patrick is a little aggressive at times but SpongeBob loves chewing my ears and kisses me on my lips.

What’s the best thing about them?
They never bite. They are nice to other pets regardless of their breed. but they aren’t afraid of chasing away predators to save their new baby Plankton.

What was the most unforgettable moment you have shared with them?
I think it was when we faced a fire calamity at my home. It was early in the morning when they started screaming, alarming us of the danger. They even stayed by me day and night after the incident.

Can you share a cute story about your pets?
SpongeBob needs attention. He hates it when I am on my mobile, computer or doing my drawing. He usually stands right in front my screen or stands over the screen, stares until I rub his head and put my phone away.

Has owning them made your life richer?
My parrots are my babies. I love spending my time building them toys, playing around with them, feeding them. I live by myself and they do really help kill my boredom and loneliness.

What makes them so lovable?
They are cuddly, very friendly and will massage your face for free.

What kind of funny and mischievous things do they do?
I always notice SpongeBob looking at himself in the mirror and dancing. He even walks like a supermodel on a ramp. Patrick is a little silly. She has no idea what to do except to drop something on the table and watch.
